The can was designed to take something like a 1.05" hub mount, and then you can put a 2.55" muzzle device in it. We had to think about things like that Surefire hubs are like 1.375" length adding and the can is kind of short intentionally so that people can put mounts like that on it without the can becoming 7.5" long (that would be 6.925" OAL with a Surefire Hub for example). Like if you put a 1.05" length adding dual lok hub on it, you get a 6.6" can which is longer than the HRT556AM in native dual lok. That demonstrates we are trying to play the middle of the field, and get people some mounts that work in the short Hub configs, without butchering the more normal hub mounting system lengths. |
