Good to see. Also, from the CAT subreddit, it appears that they are just going to do a 7.62 and a 6ARC VB in lieu of a 5.56 VB due to a lack of performance differences. The 6ARC VB will start production in September, while the 7.62 model will be next year. The VB is also only going to be a Nickel based alloy can for heat reasons, and I'm trying to see if I can get some length and weight details. This comment was from before they confirmed that a 5.56 VB wasn't going to be made. Correct. Looks like the reflex will be based on 11” to 11.7” hand guard length with a 14.5” barrel length. We’re thinking this direction because 11.5” and 12” guns starting to become the norm, so easy rail swap on the 14.5” barrel. Our 556 is 12” and our 6ARC is 14.5”. Material will be a Nickel based alloy, too much barrel heat. |

| Well I finally broke down and bought my first can, it’s the Alleycat 7.62. I certified on Wednesday so I am just waiting for that approval email to come! I ended up spending a little more than I wanted to, but did get the $200 off. I purchased it locally from Piece Of Mind. Wish me luck on a quick approval! |

I’ve got its cousin the ODB, and I really like it. It’s a pretty flexible can. They say they designed it around 7.62X39 but that makes it go for most any small frame .30cal or smaller. It’s right at home on a 6.5G, 6arc, 300BLK (it’s actually extra great on 300BLK) or 5.56. It can flex up to .308 and 6.5CM but I think the JL is a lot more suited to the task. To me it’s a small-frame ‘multi-30’ and a pretty good one at that. |

CAT KK data dropped, very impressive for a sub-5 inch can. https://pewscience.com/sound-signature-reviews-free/sss-6-197-cat-kk-mk18-556 |

Anyone have any more details or reviews of the Cat Ben? I've wanted a wider 22 can and this one really interests me. Unfortunately there's not a ton of info. |

Otter Creek cut open one awhile ago but I can’t remember where the images are and I don’t think the images published really spilled the beans (and in some ways I credit OCL for not giving away the answers to the test to other competitors) The short answer is a lot of highly complex passageways in the can that allow for better expansion, cooling, and gas flow. Beyond that I’ll leave it to the experts. |

I really hate this thing is tied to a proprietary brake, I still shoot my guns suppressed as often as unsuppressed. I wonder how many people who got mad about being forced to use a 3P with the RC3 for optimal use will defend only being allowed to use one muzzle device with this can for optimal use. Overall, probably grab one on release for my 12.5" since it did so well with the 10.3" in testing. |

Doesn’t have as dead of a tone as my Mask, but seems on par as far as sound suppression. |

The performance is impressive. I've been really happy with my ODB on 300BLK too. |

If you have a good local shop that uses silencer shop, they should be able to take care of you. |

So I did hear some news on the KK….now that approvals are happening it wouldn’t surprise me if they surprise dropped them…that pesky government shutdown is no longer effecting Form 3s….also CGS isn’t the one cranking out the KK, I am not going to name them but it shouldn’t be to hard to figure out. |

-RDM models from SS are shipping soon. They still have extras, but not a bunch. Go get one if you want a HUB alleycat without the extra baffle -i was able to shoot the short round this last sunday and TBH it didnt blow me away. It was the front runner of the pack but holy crap it heats up FAST. I made a small YouTube video if anyone is interested. Its nothing crazy tho: ![]() 3D Printed Suppressors vs Deadair Mask |

Go get one if you want a HUB alleycat without the extra baffle Any reason the AlleyCat wouldn’t have the extra baffle? Or do you mean a beefed up WB? Because they are suppose to get the 556 AlleyCat in as well along with some others based on what I’ve read. I’d likely be interested in the ODB or JL myself if they are closer to the lower price they mentioned. Otherwise I’d consider just spending an extra $200 or so on regular model since the weight would likely be 3-5oz lighter. If you got a WB I bet the weight difference wouldn’t be as severe maybe 1-2oz since it’s a smaller can. Also with the new KK that just came out and Super Thug (size between WB and AC5.56 I believe but quieter then both) that’s releasing early next year it may pay to wait and spend the extra on them if your in the market for a 5.56 can. They’d be noticeable lighter and quieter depending on what you compare it to. But a beefed up WB for a discount doesn’t sound bad if your in the market. |

Cat finally posted about it: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DRJ0hDXEfW5/?igsh=MWZycGVidTM4MmpqaA== Sadly I don’t have instagram. I just read the post CAT made on another forum where they said they’d have both the WB and AC5.56 and didn’t mention the AC5.56 having one less baffle. They said the only difference was the weight on these and that the tone may be slightly different over the regulars. I was somewhat considering the AC5.56 RDM but if it’s missing the extra baffle its a hard pass since that’s what makes it stand out over the WB. I’d more likely get an ODB or JL instead but hate to risk having an extra 4-5oz on top of what they already are. I’ve never felt a heavy can on the end of an AR so I have no idea how much it’d bother me. My only can is the OCL Ti 22 at this point. Was waiting for Black Friday to order a 5.56/30 can or two. |
