Quoted: As mentioned, we don't know. My guess is it will employ the HUB mount giving users the option. Personally, I hope DA does as Griffin did with their new Explorr series and make it both in a HUB and proprietary mount, with Xeno being the latter. View Quote This is what TBAC did with the Magnus as well. |

As long as I can use it with my existing KeyMo mounts, I'll pick one up. If I have to buy new mounts, that's a tougher sell.

Agreed. Id assume a duty use type can would stick with keymo but who knows

Sadly it will probably be a long time. They don't really have anything even teasing it on Instagram other than the occasional question on the live stream.

I'm of course still curious to see what they release as far as a 5.56 can goes, but it is going to be awfully difficult to top the latest offerings from other manufacturers. I've bought and now received three more centerfire cans (including another from Dead Air) since this whole saga started. They may have waited too long.

It's tempting to think the release of the Energetic Arms ARX sent them back to the drawing board, considering the timing.

Between the gen 2 Explorr 224 and the ARX, the 5.56 silencer space is pretty well covered. I love my Nomad 30 and am looking forward to shooting the shit out of my recently released Nomad LT, but I'm having a hard time seeing what Dead Air or anyone else can possibly bring to the table to outdo the current crop of 5.56 cans. This is an incredible time to be buying cans. Competition is a very, very good thing. |

Plus, you don't hear as much from Todd, my money is he is busy in the design and engineering side. Dead Air won't release something until it's right. Look at their other products. It's still good to speculate as far as what this offering is going to be. I'm sure it will exceed our expectations. |

Do you guys think this could be the new 556 can?

Based on the Rugged thread, I was assuming the Primal was the 556 release the entire time.

We might be getting close. |

It appears it takes either Keymo or Xeno- Allows more flexibility into other attachments. Logo & serial # moved to muzzle side of can.

I would most definitely buy that. |

A can with modern features and a knurled exterior?! LETS GO!!!

Fuck. I thought was done buying 5.56 cans. Kind of hoping this is a bust for my wallets sake

I'm going to wild assed guess that mfg process & QC is being anally analyzed to ensure no screw ups.

Has QC been such a struggle for DA? I have a sandman from back when it was their only rifle can and it has been good.

The other factor is they sell a buttload of cans so we're dealing with a large sample size. |

View Quote There were some issues that were owed to their former contracted manufacturer (DA does design & outsources manufacturing). Nothing too major, that I can recall. They switched to a new source mfger to remedy this. That was approximately 2 years back. Haven't heard of any problems in the meanwhile, & I'm only just WAGing here. Just thinking this is intended to be special & standout from the pack. |
