So I'm currently building a 12.5" Noveske and I'm currently looking for a can for the gun. The only 308 can I have now is a YHM 7.62 QD and I would like something smaller and lighter (the YHM is a TANK).

I was considering the Sandman K but don't know if it will quiet it down as much as I like.

Other two options were the Sandman S or Razor.

Any other suggestions?

Sandman S and Razor are the two I would consider. I love my Sandman L, very happy with Dead Air and the mounting system is second to none.

Yup. I have a Sandman S although not on a 12.5" AR10 but my shooting buddy does actually he used his Sandman S on his 12.5" mega 762. Loves it

Got a Sandman S on my 12.5 308. Makes the Gun shootable.

I'd get a sandman in the flavor of your choice. K for compactness, L for max suppression, or S for most of the strengths of both. I've been extremely happy with my S.

A little more “old school” but the Saker 762 is also rated for 12.5” 308.  I still like my Saker.

The Razor is hard to beat right now with the 2 extra mounts and a 223 end cap. The mount is foolproof as well as repeatable.

What's the best price you see on a Razor?

I just got my Razor this last week.  I have a 5.56 specwar for comparison which I shoot on 16" and 11.5.  I know the specwar meters well so I was worried the Razor would be really loud.

I was pleasantly surprised!  It sounds great on a 10.5 blackout and I also shot it on a 14.5 308.  it certainly takes the bite out of the 308, still loud but much much better.

I only have experience with a few cans but I think anything is going to be loud on a 12.5/14.5 308...

$750 at Capitol Armory if you choose to only get 2 mounts instead of 3.

Me too.
Testing the Razor side by side on identical .223 and .308 barrel lengths, I was amazed at how well the Razor compared in sound level with the Omega.
The Omega has more mounting options (ASR, Dead Air Key-mo, direct threads); the razor has Rugged's excellent, but non-removable QD mount.
Otherwise they seemed nearly equal to me in noise suppression.  Slightly different tones, but close enough that I would be equally fine with either one.

I was going to suggest the sandman L, until I read you don’t want another tank. It would hold up well and sound good, but it is long and heavy. Maybe the sandman s, but it still isn’t light or small.

Very pleased with my Rugged Razor (and Surge). Used on several SBR 556 and 300 BO, as well various 308.  I don’t have a 12.5” 308 AR,  but it does knock down sound on my 16” 308 AR quite well. I believe the Razor about 0.4” shorter than the S.

You really can’t go wrong with the Razor or the Sandman S. I have all the Rugged cans and several Dead Air cans. Both companies make great stuff. Hell, I’ll probably even pick up the S down the road.

I’d pick Razor vs S based on what length, weight, type of mount, and future cans using the same mount you may want, etc.

My AAC SDN6 worked pretty well on my 12.5" 308 SBR.  I bought a Sandman K to use on it so I can keep my SDN6 dedicated to 300blk.
