| So they're not in the industry forum anymore. Anybody know more? |

We're still here. Nobody panic. We're still in business.
No idea why we don't appear in the Industry section. I'll let you know Monday. Does anyone have a question? Mike Smith/AAC SilentMike - The guy that designed the Halcyon. [email protected] |

Don't know, but I'll find out. Halcyon's and other existing products are being formed to SS right now. Mike Smith/AAC SilentMike |

In the full sized configuration, the Halcyon is essentially an Element 2 performance-wise. The design of the shielded K of the Halcyon started with the Element 2 baffle. We added the shielding spacer, and the alignment design, and that was pretty much it for the baffle design.
In the short configuration on a Ruger 22/45 Mk3 with standard velocity ammo, the Halcyon registers 135-137 dB on our B&K Pulse System when shot dry. With a little light oil in the same setup, the Halcyon will dip down in the high teens to low twenties for a mag or so. Where the short config really shines is on a 22 rifle with subsonic ammo. On a Ruger 10/22 with subsonic ammo, the Halcyon is in the high teens on the Pulse System. Plenty quiet for backyard plinking. The 3.4" OAL and 4.5 ounce weight disappears on the end of a 22 rifle. The shielded K's and the tool-less design of the Halcyon make it one of the easiest smallbore cans to take apart for cleaning or configuration change. Cleaning interval is 1,000-2,000 rounds. The shielded K's also provide the hands-down most important aspect of the Halcyon - 5.7 capability! Mike Smith/AAC SilentMike |

Does anyone have a question? Mike Smith/AAC SilentMike - The guy that designed the Halcyon. [email protected] ETA: do you have any more 6.8's laying around? |

We have re-rated the Ti-Rant 45 for standard power 44 Mag on a 16" gun (We didn't try anything crazy, like some of the Buffalo Bore stuff).
Light cowboy action loads through a 16" lever gun with a Ti-Rant 45 are just silly quiet. Cheers! Mike Smith/AAC SilentMike |

Nope. Just a comment. The M4-2000 is still one of the very best suppressors ever designed. I own 7 in the 6.8 chambering and a few in 5.56. I beat the living hell out of them and they enjoy it. I understand times and personnel have/are changing, but please don't ignore proven past success ILO the urge to feel revelent with the new crowd. ETA: do you have any more 6.8's laying around? Glad you are satisfied with your M4-2000's. I'll see if we have any more of the 6.8's in stock and let you know. Although there are a lot of new mounting systems on the market, I believe the 51T fast-attach system is still among the best out there for non-precision rifle applications. Latch issues notwithstanding, the 51T system is fast, intuitive, and does not lend itself to mis-installation (AKA: silencer blown downrange). A 51T silencer can be installed in seconds, with gross motor skills using an intuitive motion. Time marches on. We listened to customer feedback and designed the 90T Ratchet Taper mount SR-5 and SR-7. They both install with the same fast, intuitive motion, but have the added advantage of the low-angle taper's rock-solid engagement between the flash hider/muzzle brake/brakeout, and the silencer. Truly the best of both worlds. Mike Smith/AAC SilentMike |

Mike, quick question: I've got a 300TM (which I love) and was wondering if it's approved for use on a 12.5" barrel 6.8spc? Thanks. Mike Smith/AAC SilentMike |
| Mike, I have an old SPR/M4 can I haven't used in a couple years. I want to put it on a new build but can't find my old mounts. I know it's long discontinued but any chance there maybe one on the shelf somewhere or someone's desk drawer? I can't find them in stock anywhere either.. |

I have 2 non usable 18t 762 SD's right now. Can't shoot them on anything even 300 BLK subs without it backing off the mount.
I would like to have them upgraded but but don't think it is fair for me to pay $500 to have it done. The mount design is flawed. I do have 15 AAC suppressors so I hope they will work with me on this problem. FYI I have not contacted AAC as of yet so this is not a bash AAC post. |

Mill off the brake baffle/FH tines, three quick spot welds from the can to the mount make it direct thread. Too easy @jlficken could they not do 90t for you? It has maybe 1-2 degrees of rotation but my M4SDII has more and it is repeatable and accurate too. ETA: I asked them if they could shorten it to the N6 spec but they said that would be frowned upon if it wasn't the result of damage which I completely understand. I figured it never hurts to ask and that was the time to ask. I had it back in under 5 weeks and am very happy with the results. |
