Pulled the trigger on a MB762s.

Anyone have one?

Lots of good feedback from the PRS crowd at my club.

It's going to live on my 6.5CM and share some time on my Grendel.

The mounting system was touted as being excellent for precision rifles due to the shoulder on the back of the mount with less ability for harmonics wobble and poi shift.

Silencer shops price was great too as their kiosk vendor is down the road from me. Was going to get the aac sdn-6 but the PRS guys at my range said to stay away if going for a bolt gun - had a host of reasons.

It's titanium, under 20oz, and well under a grand with stamp - figured why not.

Also looking forward to info, I have a 7.62L in jail. Hoping to get it out in a month or so. I specifically bought for precision shooting.

I have a .30 cal. Varminter 3.0 made by Mack Brothers for Dakota Silencer, and a .22lr Mack Brothers Zulu.  The Varminter is similar to the MB762, but is direct thread and 100% titanium.  The machining and fit/finish on both cans is impressive.  They are both very quiet.  I've used the .30 cal can on my .308 bolt action and .223 AR's, accuracy has been as good or better with the can on than it was without.  Mack Bros. doesn't get a lot of publicity on the forums but maybe that will change now that they are on SilencerShop.  I think you'll be pleased when you get yours.

@scottys did your can come in?

if so can you do me a huge favor (besides letting us know how it shoots) - I'm curious as to how far the can comes over the back of the mount.

example: if I have a 12.5" grendel barrel - will an 11" rail allow for clearance once mounted?

I've almost pulled the trigger on the Mack Brothers vapor rimfire several times. Total Ti and on 4oz in weight with the short wide look I like in a can :)

It did come in. No tests yet other than .223 but should have 6.5 Creed results in a couple weeks. Just been really busy plus traveling.

It doesn't come all the way to the rear of the mount. As an example here is my .223 (with a large shim, ignore). You can see the clearance.   As long as the thread shoulder is outside the rail you are good.

I like the lock mechanism, and I like the fit and finish of the can. Speaks quality.

I owe you a beer or three.

This is excellent news. I might be able to get away with an existing 12" rail on the 12.5" then.

Similar to my yhm setup.

Above and beyond good sir! Thank you

Not a problem at all. Good to know I've contributed something to the site besides snarky comments, haha.

And if it's close with the 12", i suppose you can always use extra shims to get distance from the shoulder and clear the rail. As long as it's staying square and you use rocksett.
