I have never used a hk style 3 lug mount before.  I have a new gm-9, a new gemtech 3 lug adapter, and a new 3 lug mount from hk parts on my sig mpx. Have not fired yet as I'm nervous about the mount.  Need to know if it's fine or if this sounds abnormal.

When mounted the can is not "tight".  It is not loose or rattling or anything like that, but when locked on the can will rotate either direction about 2 degrees.  Not super concerned with this, however if I grab can and gently move any lateral direction I can feel it move a very very small amout. Difficult to see it but it will move a minute amout. Not a lot of Margin for error in this can's end cap bore so it makes me nervous.

Is this normal? The only thing I have in my experience to compare it to is my qd Griffin checkmate 2 which is a similar mini 3 lug system but it is a lot tighter, even the spring is stronger.

Help???

Thanks!

Mine does that to on my Gemtec multi mount and on my AAC TiRant 3 lug too, that's normal.

That's normal. All of my 3 lugs (SiCo, Griffin, Rugged, AAC, Dead Air) wobble a little and rotate a little. SiCo wobbles the most but even with that one it's never caused a problem.

My Obsidian with a 3 lug adapter has a slight a bit of rotation with a hkpart.net 3 lug and have not had any issues after 1000 rounds or so.

If there was not a little bit of play, you could not get the unit on or off due to carbon buildup. This is normal, and 3-lug suppressors generally have an adequate aperture to allow for this.
