With all the momentum for the HPA, is anyone else contemplating pinning/welding a 6' suppressor to a 10 or 11" barrel?

I've searched for pics and found none.

If anyone has any please post, and/or convince me why I should or shouldn't.

Thanks.

Assuming you can get a low cost suppressor without a stamp then seems reasonable.

As is now, your already getting one stamp, might as well get SBR.

I'm referring to if the HPA passes

I'm sure more people will look into doing it when the HPA passes, but the other consideration is the proliferation of pistol braces. With an avenue to what is essentially an SBR, people see little need to pin/weld a suppressor onto a short barrel.

AS stated above. IF it passes, then just get a brace and call it a day. However if your bent on doing it, i have a few manufactures that will do it.

Is silver solder cheaper to do, from a gunsmith standpoint, than p&w?
If you have the tools, silver solder should be super quick and cheap

There is a .22 barrel out there that is like 12" long then is threaded and has a 4" "shroud" so overall length is legal, but the can can drop inside the shroud and be right at the same overall length.

This wouldn't be a bad idea for an AR barrel.

In states like mine (Iowa) where you can now own a suppressor, but not an SBR, this combo makes a lot of sense.
