I don't think you'll get FTFs but you may see accelerated parts wear.
I know the 45 USP has a different part number between the regular and the tactical recoil spring assemblies... I'm not sure about the 9mm guns. I have always been told that HK tests their SD guns for function only with certain suppressors, and they make no warranty of function with "non supported" suppressors (of which is like 99% of the market). And with the large selection of cans on the market with several different volumes, I would think it would be very hard for HK to perfectly tailor a recoil spring to work well with every single can (and they don't). I'd imagine the most common problems people have are recoil springs wearing out. |

There is a long thread somewhere with replies from someone at HK about this.
Basically, its two different recoil spring assemblies, standard and tactical. Tactical is just slightly different. It will function fine with either one, but the standard might wear a bit early. I think the guy said you could literally go thousands of rounds without a problem though. Use it for a host, if $$ is an issue.... Shoot it with the standard and replace with the tactical later on when you can afford it. On my USP the tactical assembly has a tiny groove at the base, other than that it is visually identical. |

I'll probably try it w/ the original for a bit then consider buying the tactical assembly down the road. Thanks all! |
