I've searched but cant find an answer.  If I am a trustee in a trust, not the settlor, can I use the trust to purchase a silencer or do I have to become a settlor myself?

I know anyone on the trust that is legally able can possess a silencer held by the trust but I don't know if anyone can buy.

thanks for the help

Yes you can use that trust to purchase a silencer and you being a trustee. However the silencer will belong to the trust. So if you get kicked off the trust you can't use it.

How is your trust worded? What powers does it give to trustees? Does it grant them the power to add and remove property or just to manage trust property?

Trustees may:  "To purchase items in the name of the trust or for benefit of the trust"

cut and paste from the trust.  I just wanted to make sure this was legal per BATF, not just internet legal.
