Seen one at my dealer today and liked the looks/size/weight of it and I want to get a 5.56/300blk can this month. I looked it up and found the Sico video comparing it to the M4 and SDN6. The DB reading was quite a bit higher from the meter location but equal or better at the ear.
Does this mean the SR-7 will sound good at the ear but louder to other shooters compared to the other cans? Anyone have one or used one? |

I have one. No complaints, but I have limited experience with other cans and haven't shot my SR7 side by side to any others. As I understand it, AAC designed the SR cans to have less back pressure and lower DB at the shooter than competitors, sacrificing DBs down range of the muzzle for it. Since I'm the one shooting it, I like that concept.
I've used my SR7 on a few different 5.56 ARs, 300blk, and 308 bolt guns. Is it better or worse than other comparable cans? I don't know, but shift is repeatable, 90T mount locks up tight. |
