Does anyone know if Surefire is selling the Ryder 9 pistons separately?  I bought it with the 1/2x28 but also need 13.5x1. I can't seem to ever get through to anyone at surefire on the phone.

Really enjoying my first suppressor.

They are not. Call them and tell them about it.

Surefire finally just returned my call. The gentleman said they are coming, hopefully in the next couple quarters. That's a little disappointing.

Well, thats going to stop me from getting one.  Ive always liked 1.25 OD cans, but the pistons have to be available for me to even consider it.  Hopefully Surefire realizes this is a big issue.

Maybe Ill get one next year.

They are coming. The issue is all the pistons being produced are going into the suppressors to fill domestic and international orders. Once those are filled the extra pistons will be released.

I also want a metric piston for my Ryder.

Kudu, your explanation doesn't hold any water.  Frankly, it's annoying that Surefire hasn't manufactured extra pistons but they have found time to design a modular Ryder 9 AND a dedicated MP5 version.  They need to get their act together.

Kudu22,

Do you know if you will have 3 Lug adaptors?  I know there was talk about it and there was testing but you know I need this for this pesky MP5 I have at work.

this, on here and M4C it was stated that
we are going to have accessory back plates for 3 lug MP5, CZ Scorpion, AR 9mm Direct Thread

I was just told on Instagram by Surefire that there would be NO adapters, and to buy a MP5 Ryder.
The more i dwell on this the more upset I am that I waited months for a back ordered can, and now am on 4 months pending with the ATF with the possibility of getting a nearly $1,000 can I cannot use on any of my intended platforms. With 41F on the horizon and a sunset of legal suppressors in Vermont slated for July, 2017, I am so irked with all of the confidence I was given for future support in a can only to be let down.

I just need to find someone to do it.  The AR direct thread would be great but I guess I will just not buy anymore surefire suppressors.  Its not like they want my business anyway, I bought the ryder 9 for a AR9 and the Surefire rep that told me I could get a 3 -lug mount because they were tested and worked.

I still have my email from surefire saying that the fixed barrel mount should be ready 2d quarter 2016.  Note to self, never listen to companies that say they are going to do something.....in this industry.

What companies can make a fixed barrel adaptor?

I am hoping us owners who purchased under guidance of future support can push Surefire to make good on their promises.
Diversified Machine and Stalking Rhino come to mind as to being up to the task to machine them, but they are both so overbooked I wouldn't expect it anytime soon

You're after a fixed mount, not a fixed barrel spacer, right?

If you can send a piece for him to spec out for threads and OD, I have a machinist contact that could make you one. He's made fixed mounts for legacy SWR Tridents and also for Omegas, plus some F1 solvent trap pieces.

It'll be raw metal...Al, SS, Ti, whatever you choose.

He hasn't, but I'm fairly certain he could at least make the barrel adapters. Probably make the adapter for the suppressors as well if he had one to duplicate. He started to work on one for the Trident, but then SRI actually ran a batch of parts so he didn't take it any further.

I don't have anything 3-lug, but I understand there are often issues with some working and some not due to tolerances. The guy runs the machine shop at a major NASCAR company, so has the skills and equipment to do most anything. He's not really a gun guy, but a fantastic machinist.

Yeah a TI would be cool.

Will have to see what I can do with it.

Whats funny surefire will not answer emails from my LE or Military accounts but they did from a civi account telling me that that depending in who you talk to a fixed barrel spacer is on the way.

I get great customer service from HK btw.

If they have a custom spacer it would be fine, but if they are running with the booster as is its going to beat the threads

Update- called back, as my last phonecall they said ETA was 1 month. Fast-forward 1 month, was told 1-3 months, but they'd sell me one and ship ASAP. Why not? So I have a spot in line I guess, but I wish their ETAs were a little more consistent.

Well, it's progress. Hopefully the fixed piston spacers are available.

Edit: Got a chance to call and the nice lady that was having trouble figuring out what I needed told me early next year?

I reckon I'll have one made and surefire will miss out on that. How can a company keep putting out new products and not support the ones they already have. This will be my first suppressor and I'm already regretting buying a surefire. I sure hope it performs well.
