I mean if you have to cheap out and go can, the Highlife will work. Shifts your POI quite a bit, at least for most calibers. http://www.warrenbeer.com/warren/images/products/beer/millercoors/high_life/can_12oz.jpg PBR for the win,if you're a hipster. If not Schlitz, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm foamy decent |
| Looking for a can I can use on anything from 300 win mag to 22lr and 556/300blk/762x51 ar platform pistols and 308 bolt guns yes I know 7.62x51 and 308 are same except pressure also looking to run sbr and normal length in above items pistol such as a 9mm maybe a 40 s&w maybe a 45acp looking for competition and hunting not worried about going cheap or expensive |

Quoted: How about your input on one for 556/300blk and 308 normal and sbr ar platform Quoted: Quoted: If they made one suppressor that was the best at everything, this would be a very dull forum. How about your input on one for 556/300blk and 308 normal and sbr ar platform I don't have a do-it-all for everything. All my .308 guns are bench guns so I use a Specwar 7.62. For .300 BLK, I use a Harvester. On my SBR ARs - I use Trek, Specwar 5.56 and Saker 5.56. I chose to go with mostly Silencerco - that was my preference. There are a lot more options now. |

Sandman S, Omega, and Rugged Surge are good choices, but there are more questions. Is weight a concern? Are they ALL SBRs? Are they on bench guns? Is QD the preferred attachment method? What's the budget? What's the urgency?
For instance, on my M16 10.5" barrel, I run a Specwar k (556). I also have a full size specwar for my 308 bench rifle. My AR10 build is getting an Omega or Sandman (both are in transfer). My 300blk has an OSS 762 on it right now. my 16" 556 gets the OSS 556.... see what I mean? There are lots of different cans for different uses. Buying a one can to do everything is ultimately going to make you want to buy more cans for specific purposes. |

im not expert... but he silencerco hybrid, is supposed to be good from 5.7 up to 458 win mag / 45/70, 458 socom..... it will do ANYTHING.. handguns, 9mm, 45acp, 40, 10mm, etc..... EXCEPT 22lr....... you cant clean it... so i would not shoot 22 thru it..... or cast bullets.... because its supposed to fill your suppressor with lead and ruin it / require the manufacturer fix it.
but the hybrid is the only one im familiar with that can pretty much be used on anything. this has reminded me, that if i want to use cast bullets in my 44 lever action. i should buy the octane 45 for that, as it can be cleaned... octane 45 will work on 22 up to 44mag, ( with 16" barrel), even 300 aac SUBSONIC..( not sure on barrel length) . |

In all seriousness do yourself the favor and just buy (3) cans now. You are going to eventually. So why get a Jack-Of-All-Trades, Master-Of-None?
I would buy a quality full size 7.62 QD for centerfire rifles. I would buy a full size .45 can for centerfire pistols. I would buy a top-teir .22LR can for rimfire (you will probably end up using this the most - I would make it my first purchase if I was you). In no particular order - cans I would look at would be: 7.62 Ti Phantom, Sandman, Surge, Specwar, etc. Octane 45, Revo 45, Optimus, etc. Spectre II, Mask, Regulator, etc. Just a few things to consider: - Everyone cries on here about weight. Go to the gym. Other than a few Form 1's and the old-school steel Phantoms - I have yet to pick up a can that was too heavy to comfortably use. Yes lighter is better. But for something I will have for a lifetime - I would rather have durability over weight savings. That said, as a 2nd or 3rd suppressor - I see nothing wrong with going for an ultra-lightweight model. - Get a rimfire can if you shoot .22LR at all. But get a stainless or titanium model that will be easy to clean. It is unbelievable how filthy rimfire cans can become. There was a good article on www.PrimalRights.com a while back about it where they reviewed a Spectre II. - Whatever you decide on buying, get yourself a piece of appropriately sized drill-rod, deburr the ends, and use it as an alignment rod to check suppressor alignment. I have one borderline/questionable thread job on an AR15, and one on a Ruger American Ranch .300 BLK that would have caused a baffle strike. (Ruger insisted threads were good, 3 times, YHM looked at it and said they are junk and are fixing me up as we speak) Long story short my $10 homemade bore alignment rod saved me a LOT of future headaches with baffle strikes, warranty bullshit, etc. |

Anyone have any input good or bad bout AAC or Surfire cans? AAC's mounts are outdated and a problem waiting to happen. The SR5/7 meter louder than the M42k. Price is still top end. I could not see a reason to buy one in 2016. Surefire's prices seem to have dropped a few hundred in the past year. I paid $774 for a Socom mini with flash hider in December. RC2s should be readily available. I would still consider a sandman-S, Recce 7, or a Razor |

Kinda looking into the idea sandman s but how is everyone mounting them? Flash hider or break? And how solid are they once locked on that's a big thing for me is that it locks up tight and has great poi when swapping between calibers One of the best mounts available IMHO. Flash hiders are not available yet, maybe in March |

The Sandman S is your best option on the market for multi caliber use, although I wouldn't use it for .22lr. The reason being is that .22 is very dirty and will clog a can up. A few .22lr here and there ain't gonna hurt it, but .22 cans are cheap, so invest in one, preferably a mask. |

Any input into a silencerco omega vs deadair sandman s? Pros cons what do you all think about qd for both? Dead Air has a better mount Omega is lighter Sandman-S should be $100ish cheaper but omega comes with 2 muzzle devices vs 1 on the Sandman People are making Ti parts for the omega making it even lighter Somewhat restrictive barrel lengths on the omega, none on the Sandman Direct thread option on the omega Both have great warranties. |
