| I'm looking at a can for a upcoming MAC10 9/45 or M11 9mm purchase, haven't got the gun yet but plan to shoot suppressed when I find one. Looking for feedback from current owners, as well as alternatives. All the cans I see available as alternatives are the older Sionics models, but other than those and the Viper I haven't found any other alternatives. Did a search but didn't find anything posted in the last 30 days. |

I'm the last person who should be offering advice since I don't own either...
But, I've always wanted a Gemtech MK9K for my (future) subgun. Worth a look. ETA: forgot about the unique mounting situations. Ignore and carry on. ETA2: Mk9k has an over barrel mount http://www.gem-tech.com/store/pc/MK-9K-p14.htm |
| One thing to keep in mind is if you ever intend to use an aftermarket upper (Lage or USMG side cocker) for your registered lower you can get a barrel with 1/2x28mm threads, which opens up your suppressor choices beyond the Gemtech Viper. Just some food for thought. |

unless you are deadset on the Viper look, get a Bowers can. Interchangeable threads and they models that can also handle .458
If you are going to slow it down with a Lage upper, you might be able to get away with a full auto rated can like the Octane and not gas yourself to death like you would with 1k rpm. |
| I own one for my M11/9 - which is being sold. You really have to use the provided locking ring to keep it from loosening with the really coarse MAC thread. Personally, if I had to do it over again I'd get a 1/2x28 barrel for the stock upper, or just set the stock upper aside and go Lage only, and pick up a normallly threaded SMG can like Bowers' or Thompson Machine's SG. Stalking Rhino can convert a Viper to take Multimount mounts - otherwise the can I own would now be completely useless. The Viper isn't bad, but it's not as big as I'd like it to be (basically Multimount sized) and it's just not flexible enough. |

Is there a Versadapt Insert offered by Bowers that works with the thread pitch on a standard M10 or M11 barrel, or do I have to change the barrel/ upper to use those adapters? I checked Bowers Website but saw no mention of available thread pitches. Looks like a more flexible can, thanks for all the input. http://www.bowersgroup.com/versadapt-and-atas-inserts-overview/ Edit: Nevermind, found the downloadable PDF order sheet with everything listed. Feedback still appreciated. |
