Please explain to me about the thread patterns on suppressors.   Are there adapters to make them usable on rifles with different thread pitches?  Also I have a 6.5" upper coming for my SBR in 45 acp, if if want to use it on a 9mm, 300blk and 22 long rifle.  Is that possible and how much will it suppress the report on those different rounds with all being subsonic loadings?

Most manufacturers will have thread adapters or mounts available in the common thread pitches for each caliber. Pistol barrels probably gave the widest variation of thread pitches.

You could get one can to cover all those rounds, but it won't be the best choice for .22lr. You are better off getting one for 45/9mm/300blk (subsonics only most likely) and a separate rimfire can.

The reason for different threads on different calibers mostly had to do with preventing inappropriate suppressor freebore to the wrong caliber firearm.

Any machinist can make thread adapters.  If the freebore of the firearm calibers allow, they may even allow non-destructive use with different calibers.

If freebore is less or not enough larger than bore diameter, you will get destruction or baffle strikes.

If suppressor integrity is not sufficient to handle the gas pressure of the cartridge, you'll get gas cutting or containment rupture.

A .50 BMG rifle suppressor will not have freebore issues or pressure issues with any caliber you can throw through it - but may not be the best choice to suppress 22LR.

It's more than just thread pitches. Fixed barrels vs. Browning type actions may have the same thread pitch, but a 1911, for example, will require a LID/booster in order to operate correctly with a can while a fixed barrel (like an .45 AR platform) requires the use of a fixed mount (no piston/spring).
