I have had my heart set on a AE5 for a few years and finally got the tax refund needed.  I called Ron and asked about getting my FFL on his list and he asked me which can I wanted, told him I own a MK12 Mod 0 from high caliber and was looking at the AE5, and he mentioned his AE5-30, which is a AE30 that works with the MK12 ops-inc break.

Sold.

I have enough money to buy another can and was looking at some of the .30 cal reviews and threads and was wondering if the .30 caliber cans have really come that far in noise reduction or not?  The websites show mono baffles, K baffles, etc, etc and other than material I dont see anything crazy nor do I see numbers that really smoke the AE30.  I know the AE (ops-ic) reflex cans are heavy but aside from that am I loosing out by not buying something made from metal not on the chart?

I guess I need to have this convo with Ron or ADCO or whomever. I bought the first piece of my Mk12 Mod 1 build last week so this will need to be addressed sooner or later.

There are lots of newer designs, etc.  But I use I do not feel like I'm missing anything with my AE 30 cal cans.  Yes, maybe other's are lighter or possibly smaller but for my money Ron gets the nod.

I agree.  My friend has an AEM-5 and it sounds outstanding, actually better than any other 5.56 suppressor I have heard.  I have one on the way as well.
