[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Which taper mount muzzle device?

I got my stamp back for my 5.56 SBR. I have a Recce 7 in jail that will go on it. I need a 1/2-28 taper mount. I'm thinking flash hider, since a unsuppressed comp would probably be pretty brutal. What do those of you with taper mounts use?

The inclusive minimalist brake is a compensating brake which works well and only weighs 1.8 ounces. The 3 prong flash hider works really well if you like flash suppression and it doesn't ping either.

I have a Recce 7 in jail, too and added the 1/2x28 Flash Comp for my 5.56 SBR. I picked the minimalist brake in 5/8 x 24 as the included mount and will put that on my 6.8.

I'm putting a (full size) taper mount brake on my R700 and my AR's are getting a mix of hammer comps and minimalist flash hiders. Seems like the best setup to me.

I do wonder how the minimalist FH compares to the original. Haven't seen a review of the hammer comp, but I think it'll fit perfectly on my SPR and Dissy builds as well as any other I want to have the A2 FH look on.
