Hi All,

I am in the process of looking at getting the Dead Air Sandman S to use currently on my 11.5 and 16inch 5.56 with the eventual use of on 7.62.  What I am curious is what are you guys paying locally?

Currently one of my local shops has one for $1049 so about $1300 with the stamp.  I know others online have it listed for around $839 or so then with a local transfer fee of $75 I would save about $100 overall.  However, I would only need to form 4 it not both form 3 and form 4.  Just curious what others are paying locally.

Thanks!

Are you accounting for sales tax?
Fuck 7.63% on top of $1300 $1100 since $200 is stamp money

Picked one up today after a four month wait. $830 plus tax.

I just bought one at my local shop for $839.

My LGS had them for $799 which seemed good to me. I don't know if that was advertised or a little bit of a deal since I'm a pretty good customer but their prices are usually fair to a little high.

If you get it at Gamaliel and use their 15% off special, it comes to $705

Mine charge between $75 to $100 for transfer but it would make it more around 1000 before sales tax which is better than 1300 to 1400.

I saw this Indiana dealer as well however, after looking up the address it looks like a guy running it out of his house and not an actual store front.

I don't see the problem.  He may be able to ship to your door when it's approved.

Good to know I guess I just have not dealt with anyone running it out of their house.  Looks like they have 21 in stock.  This looks like a much better option than my other LGS they are usually high which is why I wanted to check.

There souldn't be sales tax on a transfer.

Thanks all!

Now to decide is I go with the Gamaliel $705 and then pay $75 transfer to my local shop or go with the local shop that already has it in stock for $839.

Thanks again looking forward to finally getting my first suppressor.

$780 vs $867.53 seems like a no brainer.

Eh, $80 vs. waiting 1 month less...kind of a win/win. I'd probably spend the $80 to avoid the Form 3.

That is kinda my theory. I don't mind dishing out a little bit more for that. Sometimes the transfers I look at doing plus local dealer fees makes it pretty close $$ wise. But a few of my local dealers can't get certain products for the price you get elsewhere. It all depends.
