I am new to suppressors and recently purchased the Surge 7.62  by rugged suppressors .  I am confused about the locking mechanism it uses to attach to the flash hider/muzzle brake is it my only option using their flash hiders/muzzle brakes?  Are there other options I can use?

No, you have to use their mounts.

Yes, as it is with all the others.  All these QD mounts are proprietary.

There are definitely exceptions to that statement. The Saker is definitely one. And I'd put the cans that mount on A2 flash hiders in the same category.

Won't even mention the Omega I can mount on a YHM muzzle device, along with my F1 cans.
