I just got my first stamp back last week and I can see more in my future I bought a Gemtech GM-9 5/17 check cashed 5/27 my dealer gave me a call 9/17 and I picked it up 2 hours later. was actually off work that day so that worked well! My first session I stop over at my parents with my G19 to show my dad and try it out. I had 115g Freedom, 147g Speer TMJ, and 158g PPU with me. I started by firing a shot unsuppressed to get a base line for noise, then 115g suppressed, 147g, then 158g. To mine and my dads ears the 158g was by far the best of the two subsonic. POI seemed dead on still. So I ordered a case from AIM right away. After further testing the POI was about an inch low at 10 yards and maybe 1-1.5 low at 20 yards. I'll check someday to see if its the suppressor or the 158g ammo. Super stoked with the minimal POI shift either way Then a few days later I tried the PPU 158g with 5cc of water and wow significantly more quiet and no first round pop! I don't care to get hung up on numbers but I'm curious to the DB differences. If 1-2db is barely or unnoticeable to the ear? I'm guessing the difference in reduction is higher. 158g dry was quite noticeably more quiet than 147g dry and 158g wet was also quite noticeably more quiet than dry. Some PPU chrony numbers 880 908 920 897 916 939 Airborne You gotta try your GM-9 wet! |
