One guy was posting this AM/last night about the ability to still use sights with his illusion. Do you have spare fun money? Do you have more hosts than cans? Do you really NEED to utilize pistol sights? Are you okay with a slightly louder can? Do you still trust AAC/FG? |

I reviewed one: http://modernrifleman.net/2015/08/25/silencer-shop-authority-aac-illusion-9-review/
It's a good can that sits really low and out of the way. It is a bit louder than the Osprey or high performance symmetrical suppressors. If you really want a dedicated pistol suppressor, it's a good option. |

Why anyone would buy an AAC product right now is beyond me. The bullshit with the DTM rebates and not being able to have anything in stock really makes me question their competence as a company. This. Terrible company at present. Hopefully they'll get their shit together, but for now I am avoiding them. I have one AAC can (an Evo I got cheap); parts and service are nonexistent. Thank the Maker for Silencerco, Thompson Machine, Dead Air and Gemtech. Go with the Osprey or Octane. |

All the crazy firesale stuff probably hurt a lot of dealers who bought inventory and watched street prices fall below their cost on the back end. Maybe, but we aren't talking about a commodity like bushels of corn here, I see junk that sits at gun shops for years so I don't see how its that big of a deal. personally I wouldn't have bought another pistol can but it was too good a deal to pass up and with rebate I got a free 3 lug mount. Nobody bitched when they got stuff for an awesome price and a 200 dollar rebate to boot, but now that items are scarce its "AAC, omg worst company ever, fuck those guys, I called like 80 times and they still don't have it". I'd figure NFA people would have a little more patience. Seems to me the sale and rebate program worked a little too well and depleted stock faster than they planned on replenishing it. |

And patience is not the issue - selling goods with the promise of a promotional rebate, coupon or the like and then not fulfilling it is fraud. If they were overtaxed when the promotion started and couldn't fulfil orders, they should have been candid and / or made a concession. Instead, they made excuse after excuse about their computer system and inventory. Jesus, this stuff isn't that hard. I know a prince in Nigeria that sends mass mailings every week. |

All I have is your word and my personal experience, and my personal experience went well even though I got in at the last hour. As far as firing everybody that was "truth about guns" gossip. but Maybe I don't understand, are they telling you that they don't have what you want in stock or is your rebate not being recognized at all no matter what you buy? |

For the first 3 months I had my rebate in hand i couldn't buy at T-shirt from their online store. They literally had nothing in stock. I'm holding out to get a threaded pistol barrel. So far the wait is at 8 months. How much more patience do they expect their customers to have? I like my Tirant but I pray I never have a problem with it and I will never spend another dime with AAC once I spend the rebate. |

Why would I bitch while getting a can for a steal. I didn't force them to sell it to me, nor give me a rebate on top of the deal. Am I being unreasonable in expecting to actually be able to, you know, spend my rebate? |
