I have a Form 4 pending for an AAC-2000. I have only held it at the dealer, but I haven't used one. Do any of you guys have one? Are they a decent suppressor?

I have had mine for about 5 months and just bought a second from Silencer Shop for $600. Paid full msrp for the first one and already have all of my 5.56 guns set up with 51t mounts so I couldn't pass it up.

So far I have really enjoyed it. Its seen use on my MK18 upper, 11.5" upper, 14.5" upper, and 18" SPR and I am very happy with the results.

It locks up tight on all but one of the mounts and suppresses very well in my opinion. Blowback is pretty rough on the 10.3 but it is a factory DD MK18 upper which is said to be slightly overgassed to begin with. It has been a non issue on all other hosts. Also, on the scoped SPR 100yd groups were not negatively affected with the can on and if anything tightened them just a bit. I have not checked POI shift as all the weapons were zeroed with the suppressor attached.

I know a lot of people do not like the 51t mounting system but it works just fine for me.

They are very good suppressors. I have a variety of suppressors from several different companies and most all of them get abused heavily, in both round count and being knocked and banged around on objects, and the 2000 is still my preferred can.  If you actually use it the 51T slip isn't an issue; my issue is always getting them back off.

The M42K is still one of the best performing 5.56 cans out there. They can handle abuse and are phenom the quietest cans. You made a good choice, I know I love mine. My only advice would be to hold down on the latch when tightening to help minimize metal on metal contact with the teeth of the latch.

Love mine.

I have a Saker and M42k and prefer the M42k.

Thanks guys. I look forward to my can. There were a lot of options out there, but I am glad I got the M42K. I paid $800 for it. Looks like I missed out on the $600 deals online. At least I got to help out a really good local business.

I've shot the shit out of mine.  I'd recommend a muzzle brake over flash hider to reduce erosion.

No complaints here.  I use it on my LMT 10.5" and putting my upper with the departments Colt M4 lower.  Yes, I had to use the happy switch and buzz a few rounds.

I have the Mod07 and it is still a great can.

I need another 556 rifle can. Trying to decide between picking up a Mod08 now or a Mini 4.

I have a mod 7 and the original m4-2k. Both are still hard to beat for the size, weight and price.

I went 556sd due to the sale qrf had last fall. Im very pleased with it on my 10.5sbr and 14.5. There is a little play on the brakeout on the 10.5 the 51t flash hider on the 14.5 has zero play. Id love to compare the 556sd to the m42k, see if its worth it to grab a m42k.. Have a mini4 in jail right now, looking forward to running that on the 10.5.. 556sd adds a good amount of weight.

I run my M42K on an 11.5" with a MB. It's a great can. You won't be disappointed.

Like everyone said, it's the best!
Best 556 can overall. Mount is decent, good sound reduction, durable, not too heavy. You will love it!

I love my M4-2000s, have two of them and will always be my go to, but I've really been liking the TREK-T also. When you buy another can (you will :) ) def check out the TREK-T or the new Sig SRD556Ti thread on (I've never seen the sig but it's prob worth looking at).
Man those light thread on cans are great on a 11.5" upper.

Def be excited for your 2000 though, they're nice.

shot next to one at the range a few months ago.  Sounded very quiet, on par with my SpecWar.  Would not have any problem owning one.

Mine also resides on my bolt rifle at times and accuracy is identical suppressed or without.

Typical 100 yard group~

3ish months in form 4 for my 2000 and waiting patiently. I paid 500 for it last Christmas and ended up moving so it pushed the process back almost 6 months with all the dealer to dealer transfers. Its killing me cause I could of had it already.
