Hey guys, I'm stuck on what to do for my approved F1 can. And I know "have you read the 211 page thread" parts yes all of it no. Posted this like a few months back but for the life of me cannot find it

Needs to be gtg with .357/.38 and 9mm (what I got it for and both are SBRs). Would also like to throw it on my 5.56 and .308 if possible but isn't required.

At this time I'm kinda cramping for cash so I'm thinking all steel vs all Ti or maybe just a Ti tube. Im not that worried about weight. What I'm torn between is 6" and 8" and am leaning towards the 8" design. Will be the D cell from SD Tac

Going to use .41 Ti VSRs so what size spacer tube do I need? And how many? How much spacing between the VSRs? Blast chamber length? Im not finding any "schematics" on VSR builds...

Thanks guys

Just curious, what length and caliber did you list on the F1?

Go with an 8" SDTA Ti D tube and get the slip-fit spacer material at the same time. They sell it it on the same page.

If you get steel or Ti caps, 5.56 shouldn't be a problem depending on barrel length. Al caps are probably fine, but there is some debate. .308? No idea.

I say 8" because it's going to be quieter. Save the smaller can build for your third or fourth. Second build should be a dedicated 5.56.

Yes, you will be building more.

YMMV

Volume and length and tight bore = suppression, start sacrificing one or more of those and you run into problems.

You have a few high pressure calibres there so the 8" is definitely how I'd go if you want more than just the edge cut off.

Spacer tube depends on the form of the VSR's.  note that VSR's require more work to get as good as FP baffles.   You may have to cone them on the back and will definitely have to clip them.    For spacing you need just enough to cut down on tunnel effect that you'll get with VSR back to back.  It doesn't need or should be much.   More baffles = more better.  I might go around 3/8" if I was to build one out of VSR's assuming I coned and clipped them.

Ordered 8" Ti tube, steel spacer, steel end caps in 1/2x28 and one 1/2x36 Al for my 9mm

What size countersink would I use to cone the VSRs? Also, what would I use to clip them? I'm guessing Dremel...?

And just to be sure, anyone have a link for .41 ID Ti VSRs?
