I recently acquired an M&P 9mm that's already "set up" for a suppressor, and got SWMBO's endorsement, so now I'm starting research on suppressors.  I'd not realized there were so many manufacturers now, nor models, and starting from scratch is a bit daunting.  A quick search reveals at least a dozen, if not double-dozen, makers, so I figured I'd ask around for recommendations, endorsements, ideas, and such.

I'm aware of the "sights problem" with suppressors, and I'm not really bothered by it.  This will be a "practical toy," and I'm not planning on shooting matches with it installed.  Giant cans are garish, though, so I'd -like- to keep it aesthetically reasonable, whatever that means.

At the moment, I only have the one firearm with a threaded barrel for a suppressor, so I'm not super-keen (yet) on multi-caliber functionality.  Besides, if I get another can-ready gun, that's just an excuse a reason to get another can.

I don't want to break the bank, but I also don't want to get something that will require high maintenance or service.

Within those confines, what do y'all recommend?

The Griffin Revolution 9 sounds like a good one for your needs/wants.  Great all around can, great functionality.  If you aren't worried as much about multi cal, thats what I would choose.

I ordered the new YHM Sidewinder 9 can.  I haven't seen any actual tests but the specs and price made it a win for me.
