Any suggestions for the red dot on a Gordon build?  Not worried about totally clone correct, just something that looks the part without spending 6 months looking for the perfect part and breaking the bank.

Aimpoint 9000SC. It’s what’s on my Gordon build a page back and what most folks are using these days for the look without the abysmal battery life and 4 decades old electronics of the 2000, 3000, or 5000.

Just send the caps to HaveBlue for the milling treatment.

I bought a Primary Arms Aimpoint comp clone but it seems like they no longer offer it. Vortex has some similar offerings.

Will an AEM3 fit on a Colt 14.5 Socom barrel with a KAC MK12 rail? Would I need a custom collar or barrel profile?

Question for the experts. Does this gap seem excessive? The taper of the inner piece of the collar isn’t meshing with the taper on the back of the suppressor.

To further clarify. The smallest part of the taper on the locating collar is .88

The largest diameter of the suppressor is smaller than that.

Wrong sleeve for an M4 suppressor. That sleeve is for an AEM5.

I bought the collar set from Adco. What would be the best way to get the correct collar? I paid them to fit it.

If I knew the barrel diameter at the front of the bayo lug, I could send you a sleeve. ADCO should have blanks as well.

Send me your M4 collar and I'll have one of my blanks opened to match.   Sorry for the confusion.

The work you both are doing to support customers who are looking to clone or use these cans for off the wall builds is truly amazing and appreciated. Thank you to both of you.

B14 in 22-250, cut to 20".

Adco did the barrel work

Totally my fault for not explaining it better. If I was better at it, I should make a short video explaining the 3 different combinations.

Thank you gentlemen. I’ll send bigbore an IM regarding shipping back.

Ron, any news you’d like to share regarding a run of M24s? I know I sent you a message regarding being added to the list for the next batch.

Anyone running an AEM3 by chance?

I'm considering putting one on a 10.3 mini recce, admittedly mostly for fun/why not. The weight and OAL seem like a sweet spot given that I don't want the rifle to turn into a total pig/musket.

I forgot that I had an AE22.

I did up a 20” cut rifled barrel with a tapered gas block. It has an SF M4FA now but when the stamps back it’ll get cut to 16.5ish for the AE22.

AEM3 is an awesome can! I have it on a mini NSW recce. 12.65" with a spikes tapered gas block. For the size and added length it’s hard to beat. The overall length of my mini recce is only about an inch longer than my mk18 with NT4. Nice compact package but can still reach out and touch something. Next to my AEM5 it’s hard to tell the difference.

@k31user

Shot you a message, but not sure if it went through. Used the "contact us" tab on the aesupressors page as well but no response, so sorry to clutter things up here for a second.

What's the correct diameter and spacing for an AEM5-30 install on a bolt action rifle?  Building a clone of an early test M40A3(picture included).  Thank in advance!

Looks awesome! Thanks for the feedback. I just pulled the trigger on an AEM5, gonna stick it on a 13.x" upper where I can live with a bit of extra weight

@k31user, I might need a custom collar spun up. The can bottoms out on the shoulder of the M4 collar preventing the threads from engaging at all. This is with a crush washer, and I thought maybe the correct combination of shims would get me there but I'm not so sure now.

Thanks Ron!

AEM5, forgot that detail.

I had a 12.5-inch carbine barrel with this setup before but I can't remember if I used that collar or a different one. It slid right on and required no machining of the step.

Well it had to be the AEM5 M4 collar because it wasn't custom and it was a government profile 12.5-inch barrel. So I'ma buy one and see what happens.

My 12.5 had a custom collar made for use with an AEM5. Purchased second hand, so I don't know all the details.

Did you email him?  You need to use decent calipers to measure the distance from the step to bare muzzle.  Then get your barrel diameter before and after the step.  That's the data he'll need for a collar.

I haven't emailed him, no. I scooped the M4-AEM5 collar from OCL so we'll see if that one works. Otherwise I'll hafta take some caliper measurements and get him to spin me a custom collar.

Guys that get an appropriate number of turns on a 12th Model/AEM5 with a factory brake,

What is this measurement on your barrel (and how many turns do you get)?

From edge of port(start of thread) to start of taper should be 2.5".
