So just ordered a Omega,  I know Scars have a longer threaded portion and the shoulder isn't like other rifles making timing and other things difficult.  Does anyone have any experience using a direct thread suppressor?  I know the Specwar FH will work for the Omega but will the Direct thread also work?  Thanks.

Sounds like a good reason to SBR and chop to 13" and re-thread it however you want

ETA: in other words, I don't have a helpful response

My first can was a TBAC 30P-1. I did use it on my SCAR several times before I got another 7.62 can. The way I did it was by leaving the locking nut still on the rifle, screw on almost all the way down, and then screwing on my 30P-1 down to it using the nut as a barrel shoulder. At this point I'd snug the suppressor up to the nut nice and tight. Take you rifle apart and look down the barrel/suppressor and make sure that you see a nice round hole and that you see no 1/8,1/4,1/2 moons where the barrel/suppressor alignment is off. Put it back together and go have fun. I fired probably 200 rounds this way with no problems but I was very careful to check alignment and keep the suppressor tight. Now I use a YHM M2 on my SCARs and regulate the 30P-1 for hunting and target shooting on my bolt actions and single shots, just makes life a little less complicated.
