Here's my PWS 10.75" with the full size Saker 5.56 for reference. I'm rockin the Aimpoint T2 as well! I think the Saker K is on my list. BTW....the can will comes off easier as time goes on. My first range session with my Saker I couldn't get it off. I contacted Silencerco and they instructed me to strike the end of the can with the palm of my hand hard from all different sides....it lifted right off. No problems since. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-qMUEp3Df9yg/VJuI5cWXLNI/AAAAAAAAQgA/tDBCWwjbHyA/s800/https%25253A%25252F%25252Flh3.googleusercontent.com%25252F3RWY0KMc85dWHSLuCoADElc9tspOCVss8K_RQhXalwir%25253Ds0-d.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-gFyJYHQB87g/VM1UooTNVII/AAAAAAAARi4/mYwjdx1cEUg/s800/IMG_20150131_171151709_1.jpg High temp cerakote on the can? if so, how is it holding up? Looks good! |

Yes, high temperature Cerakote. Slightly less abrasion resistant compared to regular Cerakote (it's not cured in the oven only air dry), but so far it's been good. Cost me $50 to get it done.

| I picked up my Saker K on Monday. Took it out to the range today and was greatly impressed. What I really loved about it was the length and weight on a 16" rifle (I know, that is the purpose of a mini or K sized can) With the full size can on a 16" I feel like I am compromising the rifle in terms of length and weight for the sound suppression. With the K I feel like that I am adding to the capability with little to any sacrifice in those areas. I think this will be my go to can for the non-SBR ARs unless I am trying to cut the noise a little more. As for the sound, I was shooting it on the 16" upper next to my 12.5" with a SOCOM 7.62 mini and it was quieter. I know that is an apples and oranges comparison but it gives you a reference on the sound. Accuracy wise I was shooting right at an inch and half with Priv 75 gr reloads and an EOTech with a 3X magnifier. The barrel is a Centurion. I would certainly say that it is good to go in that department........ and so after talking about how it shot I can kick myself for not checking the POI shift with the can off. I guess I will do that next time. Anyway. I hope this helps some of you who are possibly looking at this can. |
