It depends on what you want it for?  It is a great can in terms of thread on, but make sure you want a thread on can.
I love the TREK-T because its the lightest you can go. A QD mount is a couple ounces, so you're looking at over 20oz for any surefire,AAC, YHM... QD can. TREK-T is only 10oz.
I like the length of the TREK also, its shorter than a M4-2000 but not as short as a mini, so its still very quiet.

so...we would need some background on you and your use of this can.
For a first time buyer I would recommend a QD can, if you already have QD, or you are putting it on a bolt gun, the thread on is great. Make sure you get exactly what you want too, because if you don't you will spend the money and then end up buying more cans later.

Here is a TREK compared to a M4-2000 and SDN6. add the qd mount and you are quite a bit heavier. Now, the TREK is nice but you might want to hold out and see what Sig brings to the table. Sig has some nice thread on and QD cans coming out that are light, quiet, and cheap.

I wish you would have posted this a couple days ago.
There was a seller on Gunbroker that had them for $325.

They took about 7 days to sell out.

Looks like they get them in fairly regularly.

Things to consider..

Do you want to use it on multiple rifles or uppers? if so a Direct Thread is not the best option, you would want to get a Quick Detach suppressor.
How important is weight? the Trek is a fairly heavy suppressor as are almost all steel suppressors.
How important is price? at around $400 its a good price point but higher price points like $1,000 and $1,500 will get you into a different range of suppressors.

I recommend the Trek-T, which is the titanium version, they sell for around $800-900 but at 10.3oz plus you can subtract 2.3oz from the flash hider as you dont use one with a Direct Thread so youre looking at only 8oz of additional weight, combine that with a 10.3" SBR and you have a very light weigh and compact rifle!

Yup, I would absolutely recommend spending the extra money for the TREK-T.
That being said, Sig has a new suppressor its a thread on titanium that weighs less than 10oz and "quieter" than the TREK. I would wait for this if you can. should be around $600. Or get their QD ti.

SIG's offerings look promising but they don't break any new ground in the specs, maybe they will in the sound redux.

They seem to be the lightest and cheaper than most. The new mount looks easy too.

As a Trek-T owner, I second this. Mine lives on one gun and it's a very nice, lightweight can.

Thanks for the info, that link is why I was asking.  $295 sounded like a really good deal but wasn't sure if they were selling old, outdated stock.  Sounds like it was a really good deal, unfortunately someone posted it in the deal thread and they sold out before I could get back to buy one.

I have a Trek on my 11.5" SBR. Great can and keeps the rifle shorter than a 16" with an A2.

Love my Trek!    It's on a 16" AR that sits on a bipod with a 4-12 scope.
Probably a bit long and heavy for most, but for a bench/ varmint gun, it's perfect.

Wish I bought mine in that sub $300 deal.
