Besides price, any reason to pick up a Specwar K 556 instead of an Omega?  The Specwar K is almost an inch shorter too I guess, but the Omega shows to be quieter in 556 and can shoot 30 cal.  Anything else I'm missing?  Looking for something lighter weight for my SBR AR's - 10.3" is the shortest I have and currently have a Saker556, Saker762, SDN-6, and a Harvester.

Any reason you don't want to go with the Saker K to maintain mount compatibility across 5.56 hosts?

Saker K seems like a more logical choice as mention by above poster. You are already setup with 2 other sakers why not go that route? You already have 3 other .30 cal cans so why not a shorter 5.56 can to add to the stable.

I concur with what others have said about the mounts.  I to have a similar situation as the OP and have a Saker 762.  So im highly invested i n mounts and I too want something shorter.   I'll be getting the Saker 556k.

Unless a Saker 762k comes out I'll be getting that.

The Omega seems like a cool can, but I won't get one unless it does end up coming out with a saker mount.

I wouldn't bother changing out mounts for either of those cans.

I have a 5.56 and 7.62 Saker with a K on the way

I thought about that as I have Saker mounts on 7 rifles.  I guess my hope is that they will eventually make a Saker mounting system for the Omega.  So, between the Omega and Saker K...

Omega - Not limited to just 556, 7oz lighter, 6 dB quieter
Saker K - Saker mounts, 1.3" shorter, $80 cheaper

The biggest thing for me is how much louder the Saker K would be over the Omega.  Isn't that fairly significant?
