No one knows, but they assume anything in process will be grandfathered. There will no no actual info until the ATF makes their ruling.

And it will probably be pushed back again.

Have a feeling that cans that have been submitted will be approved/grandfathered if/when 41Pee goes into effect.

Whenever I hear 41P discussed, it always talked about as though it's a done deal and it's going to go through. Is this the overall  consensus and general opinion?

No, it's worst case scenario. I think it's pretty obvious at this point that it's not gonna happen.

Agencies rarely fail at proposed rule making. So hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

It looks more and more like it's not gonna happen. Comments period ended in 2013 and final rule keeps getting pushed back, plus multiple violations of APA that would give us serious legal recourse. They also show no interest in pursuing it since they are moving on with other projects (revamped eforms which has no provisions for individual filing or CLEO sign off, etc)

I think they underestimated how much it would fuck up the industry and are distancing themselves from it. It would have more serious implications than just trusts. Companies and corps with hundreds/thousands of employees would be affected as well and that is an unreasonable expectation/burden.

I know we can't exactly expect the government to do anything that makes sense or is logical but I have not received a response to my comment, nor have I heard of anyone else or any organizations receiving one either going on well over a year now.

I don't think its going to happen.
