I don't think the factory finished is anodized on your can, since it is a steel body. Anodizing is typically done on non-ferrous alloys . . . primarily those with aluminum in their composition. The outer tube of a M4-2000 is stainless and like stated was done with gun-kote several years ago and AAC ended up switching to cerakote. You can either reapply as necessary with high-temp paint (grill or engine paint) or move up to what c5hardtop suggested with hi-temp cerakote (which is almost impossible to burn off) or paint made specifically for headers (not as good as high-temp cerakote IMO) |
