Anybody have one? How do you like it?
After owning a 22lr can for a few years I finally talked myself into spending the $ for a 30 cal. The gun store I normally use for transfers just got setup with Gemtech so I ordered the Quicksand. |

Best mount system for fast on/off, repeatability and simplicity IMHO.
I bought a g5 and hvt-qd before the titanium models existed. Once the Ti came out I got the g5t and quicksand. I wish I had 4 quicksands instead, but that's hindsight right? I really like the mounting method, and that gemtech has so many thread pitch offerings with so many different flash hider and break types. I use my quicksand from 8" 300 blkout, to 10.5" 5.56, 11.5" 5.56, 16" yugo m70ab2 ak47, 16" 5.56, 18" 5.56, 18" and 20" .308 and might on my 26" 22-250 pending info that it's safe. I use it on a 18" Lilja barreled custom dpms .308 and get consistent sub moa without issue. At 17oz and sounds better than my hvt(ss), multi caliber use, mounting technique, checks all my boxes. |

Quoted:
The Gemtech quickmount is definitely one of the best suppressor mounts on the market. Its definitely underrated. I wish they would release the old A1/A2 birdcage style again. if so, and I'm not in any disagreement, they need better marketing. Sales, promotions - in a flavor of the month industry, word of mouth only goes so far |
