I feel like an idiot and cant get my surefire brake to time properly.  No matter what combination of shims I use i cant get it to line up perfectly with between 20 and 30# of torque.  Does it matter if it a few degrees off?  I plan to run a suppressor pretty much all the time, does that make it matter even less?

Doesn't matter how it's aligned when suppressed.

If it's off a couple degrees, it just means you may kick up a little more dust and dirt when shooting unsuppressed.

Thanks, in your opinion would it better to be timed early or past 12 o'clock?  Assuming they are off the same amount from center.

Depends on if you shoot more often with people to your left or right.

Don't think it'll really matter...unless your OCD kicks in.

OMG I am such an anal prick when it comes to stuff like this lol.  I would be absolutely iritated if i couldnt get it perfect lol.  good luck man.  take your barrel to a gunsmith and have them just index the brake on the barrel by machining the shoulder on the muzzle threads back a touch.
