| Have a suppressor (manuf. in texas) on Wilson combat 16" .223. Having feed problems that don't occur without the can on. I'm sure the extra pressure is causing these problems. Suggestions? |

| Most factory/production AR's are over gassed, there is a good explanation here http://micromoa.com/?page_id=164 if that is the case what is happening is more than likely the bolt and carrier are coming back too fast and rebounding similar to having too light a recoil spring in a handgun. A few things could fix this 1.) an adjustable gas block of some sort that will allow you to get the over pressure down. 2.) changing spring or buffer weight or a combination of the two to slow the bolt down. hope this helped. |
| Sorry for the lack of info. The gas system is carbine length. The gas block is a "standard?" low profile non adjustable. I took the buffer out and didn't see any identifying marks. I weighed it on digital scales and it weighed 2.958 oz. I pulled the buffer out of my colt (labeled H2) and it overloaded the same scale. Guess I should try that buffer huh? Sorry for my ignorance, but is the pin in the buffer for being able to remove the rubber end and add weight to the inside? |
