Thread protector that damages barrel (you can see in the pic where is rough now) and takes off the finish ?
Keep in mind I just received this barrel from brownells. |

Dude, if the thread protector is doing that then it's because your barrel is a piece of shit. With that said, that scuffing isn't going to throw your can off. Is this a common issue? Im going to call brownells tomorrow and see if they can send me one without a defect this time. Here is better picture of how the barrel arrived.
