Ok. I have narrowed my selection to the silencerco sparrow 2 and the AAC element 2. I am steered to the element 2 but I am reading lousy reviews on AAC customer service. Some of those posts were old. Is that still the case.   Will AAC FIX PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING FOR THE LIFETIME.  I know Silencerco will.

I also read the sparrow was better on a rifle but not on the pistol. Any truths?

Thanks for replying.

AAC silencers are guaranteed for life. I think that all Sco products are as well.
The questionable CS was years ago. They have really stepped it up the past couple years.

Element 2 is quieter than the Sparrow on a handgun.
Sparrow is a good can- does well on a rifle. Has bad FRP on a handgun. This statement is true on most monocore .22 cans.

I have an element and its great on handguns, but it's louder than the sparrow or prodigy on rifles.  I really want a prodigy for my CZ 455 as it would be perfect for weight and suppression.

As far as AAC customer service/warranty, like many EVO9 owners, I was told it would be cleaned or upgraded for life if it was filled with fouling.  AAC later changed their mind and told EVO9 owners no cleanings or upgrades.  As you can imagine, this upset a lot of people because we were told by AAC they'd support it for life. I have an 18T M4-1K that sits in the safe and sees no use because it wiggles loose on my AR.  They switched out the mount hoping it would help, but it didn't help and I never heard back from them.  Now, the element finish is starting to come off, so I'll have to contact them again and hope they help.

Silencerco has the best warranty service and takes care of their customers. You'll find countless instances of this online if you look for reviews.   It seems that AAC finally stepped up their product support because their competitors were blowing them away in this dept.  Please keep in mind I only own AAC cans and I've yet to see any real help with issues.

I haven't dealt with AAC CS in over a year, but they were terrible then.  SilencerCo has been simply amazing to deal with.  I will purchase a comparable SilencerCo product over an AAC product every time.

Silencerco's CS has never been in question. Has been top notch from day one. AAC's CS used to suck bad and I mean really bad. I haven't had to call them lately because I won't buy any more of their stuff. FRP on the sparrow is exaggerated by people IMO. I have 4 22 cans including a sparrow and the FRP isn't nearly as bad as what I was told by others. That's my own personal opinion based on my ownership. The sparrow is easier to clean as well. Demo each if you can

I agree 100%.  People who aren't familiar with or have never shot a suppressed weapon are EXTREMELY impressed when they fire that first round. first look on their face followed by

Pics?  It was just issues with their 51t mounts and their refusal to admit the issue.  I also emailed CS with questions regarding some of their rimfire cans and received fairly arrogant responses.  SilencerCo is a dream to deal with.  I have purchased 4 SilencerCo cans since I last purchased one from AAC.  This was a few years ago though and things could have changed.

Why is the sparrow better on a rifle?  Is the FRP loud?
