Does anyone know if AAC still makes this can? I see the cyclone on their website, but not the Cyclone-k. I see that the Silencer Shop has it in stock, but I was going to try to go through a local shop first.

If they no longer make that can does anyone have any recommendations?

I am looking for a thread on can to use on a 300 Blackout and a Remington 700 in .308. I like the AAC because it is around 7 inches and it is lightweight. I also like the price range around $700.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Discontinued product but don't let that drive you away. The K is a great can. I thought they were all gone but maybe SS got the last ones.

IMO if you're going to use her on multiple hosts then go QD, threading/unthreading becomes old really fast.

I have a YHM Phantom QD Titanium 7.62 can that I use on my .308 5R 700 and MSAR STG-556.

I also might add a 300blackout handi rifle soon.

Another plus with YHM is that their phantom 7.62, SS and Titanium, are also magnum rated.

There are no DB numbers listed anywhere. No one has done any independent sound testing. No way I'd ever risk an NFA purchase without some numbers.

They also have a 100% titanium can listed as SBR safe down to 7". Very interesting.

I have a K.  I think it is a great can.  It is a standard Cyclone minus one baffle.  I use it on my 9" 300 BLK and my M700  AAC-SD.  My Blackout sounds fantastic with subs.  You only hear the action.  Sounds great with supers too.  I have only fired about 20 rounds on my .308 with the can, but I was very impressed with it.  I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is with in 1 or 2 db of the SD-N6.

Numbers are highly dependent on testing conditions, equipment, operator, etc.  I wouldn't put much faith in them.  A couple Db difference really amounts to very little when talking about suppressing supersonic rifle rounds.

That is exactly why a comparison between several cans is even better. Look the the 7.62 qd shootout video. There were ~7-10 DB differences between some cans and these were full size cans. Some of the Templars are tiny so i'd say it would be pretty important(at least for me) to know some sort of sound reduction data.

Where is this video?  I'd like to watch it.  Never would have guessed todays top cans would have that significant of a performance gap.

Thanks! I might have to order one since it is perfect for what I am looking for.

I like the idea of the thread on so I don't have to put a flash hider on my bolt gun. How does your .308 look with a flash hider on it?
