Getting serious about this suppressor thing.
Been looking at the Warlock II and Sparrow II and maybe something from AAC even though they're a little pricier. My 22/45 will be the primary host but my AR with conversion kit will get some love too. What if any difference is there between these suppressors when talking about use in rifle and pistol applications? Is there a "BEST" multi-gun can or should I just stick to the best can for the 22/45? I've read every Harry, Dick and Tom "opinion" on the interwebs, so...if you have real world experience and/or use to speak of, that is what I seek! |

I use it 80:20 pistol:rifle, which is the exact opposite of what I anticipated when I bought mine. I have heard the Sparrow shot side by side with the AAC Element 2. The Element is discernibly quieter. The Sparrow is stupid simple to take down and clean. If I were to buy another one today, I'd give a long hard look at the Spectre II, as well. |
| I love my AAC Element 2...on handguns, not so much on rifles. I like the suppression of my Spectre II and Warlock II on either pistols or rifles and they are very easy to take apart for cleaning. I'd recommend either the Spectre II or Warlock II for multi-host applications, just comes down to weighing the pros and cons of stainless steel vs. aluminum baffles. Good luck. |

Good info gents!
so let me ask this then...aluminum or SS baffels? Single or K baffle design? so before anyone else comes along and add a name to the pot lets say I have "narrowed" it down to : Sparrow Warlock Spectre Element I guess im not to worked up over FRP, just looking for the quietest w/ easy cleaning. |

I watched a bunch of testing vids on YouTube. I think the spectre is the way to go for my wants and desires. That was my first can. It is amazing on a pistol. I wasn't very impressed with its performance on my rifles. I was using supersonic ammo though. When I finally got a hold of a box of 50 subsonics its quieter on the rifles than it is the pistol. I went and bought the Hornady sonic cleaner and thats pretty much all I use to clean it. It comes out of the tube easily every time. |
