I'm really interested in this. I've been looking for a HK USP tactical barrel but they're hard to find and expensive. If they can sell these for around $200, they'll do pretty good business They're $199 but I don't think they're making them for H&K's at first. |

FGI purchased Storm Lake last year.
These barrels were drawn by AAC to their specs to ensure 100% reliability while using a silencer. They are not "Match" barrels with threads on them. They have a duty style chamber (similar to a factory chamber on Glock/ M&P) etc. They are salt bath nitrided and include a thread protector. The following styles will be initially offered: Glock 17 (1/2-28 and M13.5) Glock 19 (1/2-28 and M13.5) Glock 21 (.578-28 and M16) M&P 9 (1/2-28 and M13.5) M&P 45 (.578-28) XD Service 9 (1/2-28 and M13.5) XD Service 45 (.578-28) MSRP is $254. Street price will probably be around $200 or so. |

There is a big difference between Storm Lake getting "Freedom Group-ified" and Storm Lake making the barrels for AAC. I'll be excited if it's the latter. Quoted:

Stormlake is producing the r-51 barrels so that would make sense. There is a big difference between Storm Lake getting "Freedom Group-ified" and Storm Lake making the barrels for AAC. I'll be excited if it's the latter. Freedom Group can write the book on how to fuck up a good company. |

Probably has something to do with all the liberal shareholders in that company. Its kind of odd to me that they are producing barrels for the XD insteaddof the XDm. |

G'day,
I have a couple of Glock 17 AAC Threaded Barrel Questions, if I may... What is the overall length of the G17 threaded barrel? Would a Raven holster with a .75 barrel extension option be suitable? Does the threaded section contour like the Glock Factory threaded barrel - or does the threaded section extend to the tip of the muzzle, like on a Storm Lake barrel? Thanks very much for your help, Dave AUSTRALIA |
