I have searched but haven't found just a whole lot of consistent info on them.

I'm thinking about picking up "just one more can", that is compact, bombproof, indestructible, etc. for use on 10.5" or less 5.56 SBRs, 300 BLK and probably light use on a 16"+ 308. Right now I only have a 762-sd which I know, with it's single inconel baffle isn't made for hard use like the M4-2K or SDN-6. I do have a Socom 762-RC pending but I plan on using it only as my "precision/large pattern AR" can right now. Getting a SDN-6 has crossed my mind but I'm already too familiar with the shortcomings of the 51T mounting system. The SDN-6, I'm almost certain, would be quieter, but I'd be satisfied with "not obnoxious" with a mini can on a SBR. The mini is slightly shorter and lighter, better mounts(which I will be transitioning to some of my rifles anyway), probably a few less db of reduction.

Thoughts?

I have a SDN6 & a SF can

If I was to buy again, I would have spent extra on the SF can. Hate the AAC mount!

Screw it. Found a Socom 762 mini in FDE for 1050 so I went ahead and did it.

You may as well buy something NFA every few months so that you have a steady stream of new toys to take your mind of the wait on others.

I don't think you will be disappointed, I have used a 762 mini on both a 14.5" 5.56 with xm193 and a SCAR 17. Both were quiet enough (seemed hearing safe to me). I compared the mini to the Socom RC and couldn't tell much difference at all on those two weapons, still have to try it out on the 12.5" 300 blk.   The size and weight are very manageable.  Overall, I was quite happy.
