I plan on purchasing this can in the next few months.  I can use it on my Remington 700 LTR .308 and my SBR AR.  I already have the Surefire Mini and love it but I want a multi caliber can with more suppression.  Also the legacy model will mount on my legacy brakes better than Socom models.

Anyone have a Surefire FA762K? How do you like it?

Was the first rifle can I bought.  Use it on an assortment of .308, .223, and 300BLK guns.  Now I have a pair of their 5.56 cans so I only use it on the .30 cal rifles, mostly AR10s.

Great QD mount system.  There are cheaper and minimally quieter cans than SureFires but the QD mounts are what sold me on SF.  Built well.  Looks and feels solid.

On the .223 guns it performs about the same as the 556-212 to my ear but is larger of course.  Much quieter than the 556 Mini.  I still use hearing protection with them all of course.

Also my first rifle can - the 762k will fit on the 556 mounts though not vice versa.  I'm happy with mine though it's a little big for a 5.56mm gun - it should be quieter than your mini though.

Why not a socom762?

They don't properly index on the legacy mounts. Which is what I have on my other rifles.   Plus the price of the fa762k has dropped a lot. I've been seeing them for $1300, the so come are another $400-500

That's a great reason.
