| Surefire SOCOM vs. Surefire Legacy which is better? |
|
Send us some details....
How much? In stock locally? Or online? What specific models are you looking at? What do you plan on mounting it on and possibly the future? I can tell you first hand that one of my local dealers had the Gen1/2 Surefires for pretty damn good prices compared to the SOCOMs. Makes decisions tougher if you ask me. Better is very subjective. |

Which performs better? Which has the better mounting system?? It will be used on a 10.5, a 16, and a 20 inch AR. All 5.56 guns. Price is not a big issue. |

Get a SOCOM 556-SB for a 10.5" barrel. Has a larger bore axis for that barrel length. -Arbiter Surefire disagrees with you on this. The SB was made specifically for sub-10" barrels like the 8" G36. OP, get the SOCOM. The mounting system is better and there is always a risk that SF will stop making the legacy mounts at some point. |
