Is there a big difference using one suppressor for both 5.56 and 308 I know the difference that would be noticeable would be shooting the 5.56 Who uses one suppressor for the 5.56 and 30 cal

I used my AAC SDN-6 for both .223 and 300 BLK. I've never used it on 308. It makes my 223 sound about like an unsupressed 22. 300 is pretty damn quiet. Subsonics sound like a pneumatic nail gun.

I use my YHM phantom for 5.56, 243 & 308.  I can't tell the difference between this and my friend's YHM 5.56 can.

Yup, YHM Phantom 30 is rated for 300 win mag. It will more than handle your 5.56, mine does.

Yes there is a difference since .223 is FASTER than .308, it's all about speed, faster bullets will be louder than slower ones.

I bought a YHM .308 can to use on 300 win mag on down too .223.

Wait for the Saker762 by SilencerCo. If it's anything like the 556 version, it's probably going to be the best multipurpose can out there.

Can you even order one yet? Or will you have to wait for it to be released AND THEN jump in the NFA line? Sounds like a lengthy endeavor.

Heh, and maybe by 2015 or 2016 you'll have the can in your hand.

Buy something that's in stock right now, and if you're lucky you'll have it in a year.  I'm so glad I caught the NFA bug before vampire Feinstein rose from the ashes of Sandy Hook.

I run my TBAC 30P-1 on a 260 remington gun, and both my 223 ar's.  I've also loaded it to a friend who used it on a 300 winmag hunting gun.

It'll work on any threaded center fire gun up to 30 cal.  Extremely versatile.

There's plenty of good .30cal cans out there capable of handling 5.56 very well.  I've been using an SDN-6 that performs very well on my 11.5" SBR'ed AR, 16" AR's as well as a 16" .308 AR and a 26" precision rifle.  Sounds great on all of them.  Do some research and purchase the can that suits your budget, what you can find in stock, and your needs.
