I am new to suppresors and would someone tell me the pros and cons to user serviceable suppresors? Also, I understand the Osprey 45 is not user serviceable correct?

The biggest pro is being able to clean it. Which is useful if you run a lot of lead bullets through the can.

The biggest con is weight. Also to my knowledge, all user serviceable cans are thread on with no QD option.

Has nothing to do with weight, what caliber are you looking for?

If you are talking about pistol and 22lr cans, non serviceable is a thing of the passed. Anyone who has opened a sealed can will tell you that, anyone who has a take apart can KNOWS that.   Even some  FMJ ammo can be dirty and some like Winclean  can sand blast your baffles! Lead is way cheaper to load so SS baffles are the best option and SWR type baffles even better!

I would never buy a non serviceable 22lr or center fire pistol can, EVER!

Back in the day they said you didn't need to clean a 22 can either!

I wouldn't have one that wasn't user serviceable. Even my 5.56 can is take apart.
