I've had mixed timelines on my NFA items. Form 3 for my suppressor took about 15 days (Jan-24 to Feb-11), but I am still waiting on my SBR Form 3 to return. Bought that Dec 18 and still waiting. So sounds like it's just luck of the draw.

I think you might be thinking of a Form 4, the one you send in with the $200 check. The Form 3 is for the transfer between the distributor/online retailer and the local SOT/FFL who technically transfers it to you.





In my case it was an online purchase from Silencer Shop who had to send a Form 3 in to the BATFE to transfer it to my local SOT/FFL.  This is just another thing that adds time to the whole long process so as always faster is better!
