My first posting here, after migrating from the Steyr Club, was met with a couple hundred reads, and 2 reply's. REALLY? I was confident that the members here would be full of knowledge and experience, regarding both ARs and the options for them. The folks at SC were always eager, and I do mean eager to help solve issues/problems for one-another.
This is not a "bashing", I was just hoping for a little better responses from the members. My post at http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_20/387039_A_Dedicated_Suppressor_Thread____.html[/URL] went begging for attention. Just one (1) solid recommendation on a course of action would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps some fellow SHOOTERS out there will read this, along with my previous post and offer up some constructive solutions this time? I eagerly await some accurate feedback from smart shooters whom have dealt with these issues before, and overcome them. Thanks-in-Advance. |

Gas in the face is normal with an AR. Your best options to control it are a PRI gas buster charging handle (or homemade with gasket sealer) and an adjustable gas block. Dirty mags and receiver are normal both suppressed and unsuppressed.
Light strikes are probably unrelated and you should be looking to see if your hammer spring is installed correctly. |

This is just one of many sub-forums here and there is a wealth of information on this board. Sometimes you will think that a post will generate a lot of replies but in reality if it gets 3 or 4 replies they are usually spot on and others will not reply. Welcome to the Site |

Bear in mind that since Feinstein and Obama announced the AR-15 by name relating to a ban, we've been inundated with hundreds of new members and a ton of questions. |

First off yes you are "bashing" and whining like a little girl who didn't receive the pony she wanted for Christmas. There are over 250,000+ members and most of them just lurk. By the time someone who can really answer your question comes along your thread could be on page 2 or page 3 etc. and they not see it or he or she may not have the time to do a proper reply. I'm not sorry we couldn't be a convenience for your problem(s) that was so important you couldn't have a little bit more patience. |
|
Also, your thread title is a little obscure. Once it got moved to the suppressor forum you might have edited that to let people know you were looking for help. There are easily a few hundred member that just lurk and don't post, so don't get dicouraged if you see a lot of views and not many replies.
I gave your question a shot. Good luck getting your issues resolved. |

A typical response from the narcissistic. Attack, Instead of relating to the frustration with an issue being dealing with for weeks now, and offering some constructive encouragement, just berate the person for your amusement. A prime example of the "Bad Egg in the Basket". Thanks' |

| i did see your 1st post you put a jp spring in do you have a standerd buffer spring to try out ? you never siad if this was factory ammo or reloads? and if i read your last post right around the 20th round is when you start to have the light strikes right ? When this happen did you or can you pull hte BCG out look at the firing pin. shooting a can is going to make the inside very dirty but you should be albe to shot more then 20 rd before a problem shows up. also what if you shoot with out the can |
