I'm new to this particular forum, and I looked around a little. I didn't see any suppressor specific talk going on, so I'm asking.
After installing my New HTG can on my RRA AR15, I believe I'm getting a little back-gassing. The occasional light primer strike/no fire, and some noticeably dirty (when unfired) unused rounds in the mag. As some of you may be aware, it's kinda hard to get through to RRA, even to ask a simple question. Now, I'm thinking/hoping that an adjustable gas block will be the cure. Anyone with similar experiences out there? Muchos Gracias Amigos |

You might find some good info/help/config setup about cans in our can forum. http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_6/20_Suppressors.html |

Sounds like two separate issues to me. Overgassing due to the suppressor and light primer strikes due to something with the rifle itself.
How many rounds are you putting through this setup and how often do you break it down and clean it? Is there too much crud in your bolt? Did you assemble the lower yourself? Is the hammer spring backwards? |

I have a new Patent Pending, modular, and tool less adjustable gas block.
Have an ad listed here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_118/1056814_WTS__New_Patent_Pending_Modular_Adjustable_Gas_Block__Tool_Less_.html Adding a suppressor will definitely over-gas your gun. I have plenty more information on my website below. Let me know if you have any questions. http://micromoa.com/ |
| Ditch the springs to elimnate them as being a problem. As far as gassing check out the pri handle and also you can get a vented forward assist handle to help alleviate that problem. Search the forum a bit there are a couple threads for a do it yourself gas buster. |

Info such as barrel length, gas system and other details would be helpful. Be sure to use an actual buffering buffer, meaning don't use buffers with powdered tungsten internals like the ST-T2. The reciprocating weights in the buffer have a purpose. I would suggest trying an H1 or H2 buffer if you are currently using a carbine buffer to help slow down the carrier a bit. |
