Did the awb affect suppressors when it was in effect?? Gettin ready to start my first form 4 and was wondering if one went into effect if it would bother suppressors.

To be more specific, suppressors were considered to be flash hiders during the last AWB.

Im pretty sure that in ban states installing a suppressor onto a post ban rifle is still a no no.
Another advantage of owning a pre ban rifle

Connecticut is the only ban state where suppressors are even legal and they may be installed on a postban gun so long as it is doesn't require a threaded barrel or flash hider QD mount. Foe example, a Gemtech Halo clamped on to a PWS FSC556.

No, but it did affect the guns they went on.

So if you had a pre ban lower you were still able to purchase a suppressor? Did prices on them drop any during the ban?

Keep in mind that bolt actions, etc. would still have no issue with putting a suppressor on them.

When they do pass another semi auto ban and the killing continues then another ban will be made soon after
as they will then say all guns should be banned just like what happened in the land down under.
A ban on any gun we can have now is just another bite into a full ban in the future.
