Anybody on here tried this or have an opinion on it? Basically would double your cost since you have to buy a 51T flash hider and send it to them. I like the vids I've seen of the Battlecomp (low flash plus compensation) and would like to build an SBR then add a suppressor later, so I'd want it to run well unsuppressed.

Worth it or just minor improvement to the AAC blackout?

It may be nice but that's to much money for one mount that will basically offer nothing extra when the suppressor is actually attached.

The law of diminishing returns comes to mind on this one for me.

Until they offer that mount (not a modified AAC) I will run AAC mounts because of price.

I thought one of the issues with the BC is that the ports can fill with junk.  If that's true, I can't imagine this would be an effective comp after significant suppressor use.

Am I missing something here?

Yeah, that was my main concern with the idea, doesn't offer much improvement for the money.

I think any dirt would be blown out on first round fired (I've had clogged ports in A1's and A2 flash hiders and it's not an issue), but you may be right that suppressed it might get really gunked up and be too hard to blow out of the small slots in the Battlecomp.

The problem with the clogged ports was unique to the KAC Triple Tap Brake.  The TTB has .015-.02" slots which are very thing.  I believe the remedy for that is ultrasonic cleaning at intervals.

With devices like the Battle Comp the ports are large enough that if they would ever clog you could punch the copper out with a small nail or a small punch and hammer or something like that.

The video below compares the battle comp and triple tap for performance.
