So I loaded up on Federal Lake City 55gr xm193 brown box. 3k rounds worth. When I shoot with my can the primers will blow/fall out and get jammed up in the weapon. It's fine with no can. Overgassed, no case bulge or hard recoil. A little marring on the case head from the bolt face at the extractor, thats all.
It is about 1 out of 20 rounds fired that are missing primers. Some clear the action and some stay in. There is no visable crimp on the primer cup and all 3k rounds are the same lot #. Is there any need for major concern? I will only use this unsuppressed for range ammo. I have PMC that runs great with my can. |

I had one go into the barrel extension so the bolt stayed open. I tried to shoot twice with just a click when the hammer dropped. I could not see the problem so I went home. With a flashlight I saw a primer stuck in the extension and tapped it out. Today I had one jam into a bolt lug with a fresh round chambered. The BCG would not seat and I dug the primer out with my multitool.
Shoots great with the can off. No issues at all other than more noise and a loss of coolness. 
I would be pissed if I was on a two way range. I love my can, but it would come off fast. |

I'm assuming this also applies to the black box shit I bought at Walmart, and also my M855 green tip, as it is also a high power load? Scary to me. Good to know. ~WTS |

I have a Bushmaster Carbon 15 SBR 7.5" with nearly 20K rounds through it that won't blow primers with this ammo no matter what I do. The fireballs are beyond rediculous though.

| This is the first time with this ammo and the first time with blown primers. I have shot about 2k of PMC bronze and XTac with no issues. I had a case of loose 556 that went through fine. 11.5"bbl and a YHM can. Clean chamber and adjustable gas tube dialed way down. I shot 500 rnds of 556 XTac and got bored with only recoil and hearing the steel plate ding. I know it's the ammo. |

The majority of a pressure spike/curve is when the bullet travels in the first few inches of the barrel, before it ever reaches the can. The only additional pressure should be from the bullet pushing the air column out of the barrel, which is slowed by the can (try blowing through a can from the threaded end). I've avoided XTAC because of it's PSD brass (korean) and issues I had with that stuff while deployed. While I'd be willing to try it...it's the same price as LC stuff and I haven't had any issues with my 11.5" Noveske / 762SDN6 combo. |

My hubby deals with these issues all of the time as a Smith. He says the Throat is too tight and needs to be opened up some. There is a chance accuracy will decrease but it will make the primers stop popping.
Some AR's do this even before adding a suppressor but its normally when using 5.56 in a tight chambered .223 or 5.56. |
